Went back to work today, and what did I find when I got there? 73 card pages! One of my co-workers has a son that collects baseball cards and he is transferring his cards from binders into boxes. The opposite of what I am doing. So she asked if I wanted the pages. I of course said yes. Saved me about $10.
On To The Cards!
Max Scherzer (Tigers)
Kevin Youkilis (White Sox)
Zack Cozart (Reds)
Jeremy Guthrie (Royals)
Chris Coghlan (Marlins)

Christian Garcia (Nationals)
John Jay (Cardinals)

Chasing History--Cal Ripken Jr
My first duplicate...Oh wait. That's not a duplicate! I already have Jon Jay, but that is from the base set, not a parallel. I consider them to be different cards. Parallels are in the base section of my binders, but only till I get the base card for that player.
And I got another Cal Ripken Jr Card! I really like the Chasing History cards, and I think I just found my favorite. Unfortunately they don't have a pic of it on Trading Card Database, so I did a search and found this one on My Baseball Card Blog (Not actually mine since this is mine. that is the name of the blog I found it on)

Pack A Day #27
Feeling a lot better today. In fact I'm feeling well enough that I went to Kids night. There were only 2 kids though, so we spent the time playing games, including Twister. We broke the spinner a while ago, so I downloaded an app. One that talks. And it talks in both English and the most logical other language there could be. Hungarian. The kids loved it.
On To The Cards!
Ryan Braun (Brewers)
Chase Utely (Phillies)
J.P. Howell (Rays)
Alex Cobb (Rays)
Jason Bay (Mets)
Blue Parallels
Rob Scahill (Rockies)
Jeurys Familia (Mets)
Emerald Foil Parallels
Jeremy Hellickson (Rays)
I could have sworn I had Bryan Braun. But going through all my check lists and the binder, apparently I don't. I know I've seen that card though. Must have been a pic that I saw.
And apparently this is a Rays pack. Wish I was a bigger fan of them, but still some cool cards.

Pack A Day #26
Still feel like crap, so I called in. Spent most of the day sleeping and watching most of Season 1 of Psych. and by watching Psych I mean it was on. I slept through most of it. Speaking of watching stuff, WWE posted the main event from last night's Raw! Watch it. It's awesome.
Here is a link to the match since apparently you can't embed videos from WWE.com on other pages and they didn't upload it on to Youtube.
Since this is the 25th Pack A Day, I figured I needed to do something special, so, thinking ahead, I picked up a jumbo pack of Topps 2013 baseball when I got the blaster box. And now its time to open it!

Pack A Day #25
I'm not feeling very good. In fact I feel like crap. Went to work today, because i wasn't feeling to bad when I left, but by the time I left I felt...like I do now. I really don't want to be sitting here typing this. I would rather be laying on the couch watching raw. But I couldn't do that to my Non-Existent Readers.
I have new cards! a whole blaster full of Topps 2013 Baseball cards! so with out further ado

Pack A Day #22
More Football today! Confused? "It's Friday" you say? well normally I would be starting a new Blaster Box today, but due to cut hours (It's our slow time of the year) and missed work due to weather, I figured it would be wise to make each box last as long as possible for this. which is why I have only been doing 1 pack a day. Once I get all my hours back (in the next few weeks I'm guessing) or I get my Tax Refund back I will return to a Blaster a week.

Pack A Day #19
Surprisingly enough, it was rather busy today. Normally when there is bad weather like yesterday, it is kind of dead. Here in Minnesota, we are used to bad weather in the winter, so we usually stock up on supplies before it hits.
Also, YAY!! Spring training started yesterday! Actually started last week, but they didn't start covering it on the local news till yesterday. Kind of wishing I was in Fort Myers right now (Where the Twins train) instead of in Minnesota right now. 40 or so days till the season starts!!!
On To The Cards!
Jake Locker (Texans)
Knowshon Moreno (Broncos)
Cincinnati Bengals
Mike Tolbert (Panthers)
Greg Childs (Vikings)
Jordan White (Jets)
Santonio Holms (Jets)
Insert
Paramount Pairs--Ryan Tannehil/Cyrus Gray
A great pack. Why? Because I finally got a Viking!! That is all I needed to make it a great pack :)

Pack A Day #18
Well this kind of sucks. I'm at a friends house for the night. Visibility out isn't too horrible, maybe a couple blocks. I could probably get home. would take an hour but I could make it. The problem comes when there is a gust of wind (which is frequent) it is an instant white out for about 5 seconds. I got about 1/2 mile out of town and turned around.
Fortunately I have an app I can use to post on here. Could probably use Jason's PC, but I already started typing it on my phone, so I'm just gong to use that. Pics will be added when I get home tomarrow. And I brought some cards with just in case.
On To The Cards!

Matt Moore (Dolphins)
Johnny Knox (Bears)
Andy Lee (49ers)
Stephon Gilmore (Bills)
Bernard Pierce (Ravens)
Payton Hillis (Chiefes)
Insert
Rookie Reprint--Michael Vick
Not bad, but no dupes. I like the Rookie Reprints, although the numbering is a bit confusing. Can't wait to get more though.

Pack A Day #15
Hope everyone had a nice Valentines day. Whether you spent it with someone or not, always nice to have a good day. I spent the night watching guys beat the snot out of each other on Impact and Bellator. That is my idea of a good day :)
Got a blaster of Topps 2012 Football. I think it goes with out saying what cones next :)
On To The Cards!
Antwan Barnes (Chargers)
DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys)

Lamar Miller (Dolphins)
Coby Fleener (Colts)

Robert Turbin (Seahawks) 93 Of 399
Insert
Paramount Pairs--Brandon Weedon/Justin Blackmon
My first duplicate from a Blaster Box :( I already have the New York Giants card. Oh well. Into the Dupe Bin it goes.
I really like the Pink parallels. They are supposed to be some sort of Breast Cancer Awareness thing. Whether they donate any money to cancer research or not, it is still good of them to do something, even if all it is is give us a Pink Parallel

Pack A Day #14
Happy Valentines Day! or as I currently call it, Happy Appreciating Being Single Day! Being single can suck, especially on Valentines day, but there are some good things. Like I don't have to buy flowers or candy or anything for someone special! Would rather I did, but oh well. Maybe next year.
Oh well. I have some cards to open. This is the last day of Old Stock Week and I have a pack of Upper Deck 2010 Series 1 Baseball cards to open!

2009 Biography--Mark Teixeira
Supreme--Chipper Jones
Not a bad set. I like the design but I do have 2 problems. 1.) the foil makes the names really hard to read. This is a problem I have with most cards with foil names, but this time it is worse then usual. and 2.) since Upper Deck doesn't have the rights to use the team names, they just list the city (or state in Minnesota's case) which gets kind of confusing when you have New York or Chicago listed. You either have to remember which team they were on or figure it out from their uniform. Although they were able to use the team names n the back of one card for some reason.
On the bright side, I like the inserts. the Supreme card looks cool, and I like the idea of a sort of "Year In Review" set. I also like the idea of Ball Park cards, although I am surprised that they are part of the regular set and not an insert. I also like the fact that I got 2 Twins. J.J. Hardy is wearing a Brewers uniform on the card, but he is listed as Minnesota, and that is good enough for me :)

Pack A Day #12
More time spent with the nephews before I went to work today. We watched some Pokemon. When every Pikachu was on, Demarkus pointed and said "Piatoo!" It was sooo cute. More importantly Desi was looking at my cards! He has some Pokemon and Basketball cards, and he has looked at my Pokemon cards as well as the Topps 2013 Baseball cards I have, but this is the first time he expressed interest in looking at cards that weren't sitting out on my work bench. Might be only a matter of timebefore he gets into collecting!

Pack A Day #11
Not going to complain about work today, because I didn't go! Road was drifted in too much. Fortunately my sister and her kids got here yesterday before it got bad (a few hours before I got home) so that was good. Desi (her oldest) and I spent the time playing Lego Star Wars and Forza 4. And later, he and his brother were with me during Raw. Specifically during the Cena/Sheamus/Ryback VS 3MB match. When Ryback came out, Demarcus (almost 2) started swinging his arms like him. I think I might have started him on the road to being a wrestling fan!

Pack A Day #10
So it snowed today. Not light fluffy snow. Wet heavy snow. With ice under it. Driving was...interesting. The best part was we got to close early tonight. Not before dark early, like I would have liked. but 1 hour early. I'm guessing my corporate overlords forgot that A.) they have large, 4 wheel drive trucks and live in town. B.) I drive a small rear wheel drive truck and live in the country. But atleast we closed before it got too bad.

Pack A Day #9
It's raining out right now. Yep. Raining in Minnesota in early February. Gets better though, because this is just the start. It is supposed to turn to snow and snow for the next few days (Anywhere from 1-17 inches yep. That is as close as they can get) and lots of wind too! [sarcasm]YAY![/sarcasm]
Oh well, you don't care about the weather here. You are here to see what cards I opened today! And I have some packs of 2011 Topps Lineage Baseball to open
On to the cards!
Jeremy Hellickson (Rays)
Edison Volquez (Reds)
Cal Ripken Jr (Orioles)
Miguel Tejada (Giants)
Ian Kinsler (Rangers)
Joe Morgan (Astros)
Diamond Anniversary Parallel
Billy Butler (Royals)
Inserts
Cloth Sticker----Hunter Pierce
Stand Ups----Felix Hernandez
I really like the Lineage cards. I saw some reviews that said that this set wasn't very good, but I like the look, and the lack of stats on the back is cool. And I like sets like Heritage that take a look at the past and the present. Plus I pulled my 4th or 5th unique Cal Ripken Jr in my first pack! Not manym and I don't know how many I have total (yet) but he has always been one of my favorite players who never played for the Twins.
Only way it could have been better is if I pulled a Twin as well!

Pack A Day #8
Well, Good news bad news. Bad news is I wasn't feeling well, so I didn't go to work today. No work also meant I didn't get a Topps 2012 Football Blaster Box. The good news is that I have a bunch of packs I grabbed form the Old Stock box at my local Walmart. So that will be this week's theme and next week will be Football 2012.
That being said, I still have some football cards I can post about. One of the packs (Which I picked up on Superbowl Sunday) was 2009 Topps Football. Lets see what is inside
Aaron Curry (Seahawks)
Roy Miller (Buccaneers)
Andre Brown (Giants)
Jake Delhomme (Panthers)
Nick Collins (Packers)
Jason Witten (Cowboys)
Kevin Mawae (Titans)
D'Qwell Jackson (Browns)
Kris Jenkins (Jets)
Anquan Boldin (Cardinals)
Inserts
AFL 50 Year Flashback----Jarry Grantham
Topps Town Silver----Ben Toethlisberger
I really like the look of these cards, both the front and the back. And I like the inserts I got. The AFL flashback cards look cool, as do the Topps Town cards. the only complaint I have (Other then the obvious no Vikings) is the fact that I didn't get one of the Cheerleader cards :(

Pack A Day #7--Relic Day #1
Today is Relic Day!!! What is Relic Day? Well, every Topps Blaster Box comes with a card containing a relic of some sort. For baseball and football, it is usually a manufactured part of a uniform. For wrestling, it is usually a part of a mat from a major event like Wrestlemania. I like to save those for last when I am opening the packs
Now, on to the cards!
Pack 1
Tommy Hunter (Oriolels)
Mark Teixeira (Yankees)
San Francisco Giants----2012 World Series Game 4
Tyler Cloyd (Phillies)
Travis Ishikawa (Brewers)
Blue Parallel
Brian Matusz (Orioles)
Tyler Colvin (Rockies)
Insert
1972 Mini----Jose Reyes
Not bad. I like the playoff cards, featuring shots from the different playoff and world series games.
Pack 2
Joe Mauer (Twins)
2012 AL Batting Average Leaders
Adam Eaton (Diamondbacks)
Hiroki Juroda (Yankees)
Blue Parallel
Justin Maxwell (Astros)
Matt Kemp (Dodgers)
Emerald Parallel
2012 AL ERA Leaders
Insert
Calling Card----Pablo Sandoval
YAY!!! Another Twin!!! And this time it is one that is still on the team!
Relic----Giancarlo Stanton (Marlins)
I really like the commemorative patches. I liked the Blockbuster Patch cards in 2012 Update Series, but I thought they were kind of busy looking. These have a nice clean look
Starting tomorrow, 2012 Football!

Pack A Day #6
Another day, another pack. Well, 2 packs. Lets see what I pull today
Pack 1
Jayson Werth (Nationals)
2012 AL Home Run Leaders
Drew Hutchison (Blue Jays)
Derek Lowe (Yankees)
Kyle McClellan (Cardinals)
Blue Parallel
Joe Nathan (Rangers)
Desmond Jennings (Rays)
Insert
Chasing History--Ricky Henderson
I got all excited when I saw Joe Nathan. Then I remember he played for the Rangers last year :( So close to my first Twin, but at least there weren't any dupes.
Pack 2
Mike Minor (Braves)
Micheal Morse(Nationals)
Denard Span (Twins)
Brandon Lyon (Blue Jays)
Blue Parallel
R.A. Dickey (Mets)
Andrew McCutchen (Pirates)
Camo Parallel
Todd Frazier (Reds)----54 of 99
Insert
Chasing The Dream--Jarrod Parker (As)
YAY!!! Finally a Twins player!!! Unfortunately we traded him for a unproven pitcher that will probably only get a card this year if Bowman includes him. But it is still a card with the Twins logo on it, and Series 1 is basically the teams from last season, so that is good enough for me.
I also got a Camo parallel. It's kind of cool. I didn't realize they were numbered.

Pack A Day #5
Hopefully there are not net outages this time. I was going to mention this yesterday, but the problems I had caused me to forget about it. But since my card prediction thing seemed to work for the Ravens in the Super Bowl, I think I might do something similar for the World Series. Not yet though.
On to to the cards!
Pack 1
Ryan Cook (A's)
Starling Marte (Pirates)
Kyle Seager (Mariners)
Blue Parallel
Craig Kimbral (Braves)
Jarrad Saltalamacchia(Red Sox)
Insert
Cut To The Chase----Mike Schmidt
1972 Minis----Ian Kennedy
Those Cut To The Chase cards are pretty cool. and YAY! another Pirate! not as good as the Twins, but still good. Plus Ryan Cook. With initials like that, how can he be bad!
Pack 2
Buster Posey (Giants)
Ben Zobrist (Rays)
2012 NL Home Run Leaders
Matt Thornton (White Sox)
Jonathon Broxton (Reds)
Blue Parallel
Jimmy Rollins (Phillies)
Jaime Garcia (Cardinals)
Well that sucked. Seriously Topps? I got a Million Dollar Chase code card but no other inserts? That sucks. Oh well. Over all a decent pack, with no duplicates so it isn't all bad. Plus there is this funny pic of Ben Zobrist.

Pack A Day #4
Well that was cutting it close. I started writing up this post, was watching Raw while doing it, and then saved the draft when I remembered I needed to upload a video for church. Not wanting to do anything while it uploaded, I stopped working on the post and just watched Raw. When Raw was done (YAY!!! Bruno Sammartino is going into the Hall Of Fame!!!) I went beck to work on it when I found out that my internet was down. The ISP Was doing some work on something. Fortunately it came on shortly before midnight, so YAY!!! Didn't miss my first day already!!
Because of the outage, I just opened one pack today. (I was going to open 2)
Pack 1
Dee Gordon (Dodgers)
Justin Verlander (Tigers)
Kevin Correia (Pirates)
Daniel Descalso (Cardinals)
Blue Parallel
Bryan Shaw (Diamondbacks)
Robert Andino (Orioles)
Gold Parallel
Aubrey Hoff (Giants)----#560 of 2013
Emerald Parallel
Brandon Inge (A's)
YAY!!! I got an Emerald parallel!!! I saw some of them online and liked them, and after seeing one in person, I like it even more, Still no Twins, but at least I got a Pirate and an Orioles player.

Pack A Day #3--Something Different Edition #2--Championship Edition #1
I could go on a rant about how my local Walmart is stupid for getting rid of most of it's football cards (other then retail boxes some time between this past Tuesday and today (also known as Super Bowl Sunday) and how in that same time period they went from having lots of WWE 2012 product to having none. They have a ton of stuff from the new Magic expansion though, so this all that matters. It will take up plenty of space on their shelves with plenty of other Magic products that no one buys more then a few packs at a time of. And before everyone gets mad at me for saying no one plays Magic, that is because there doesn't seem to be more then a few packs at a time gone every time I am there. I actually collect them. It's just they have way more then they should based on the amount it seems they sell.
Anyways, the Super Bowl starts in a few hours, and I don't really care. The Vikings aren't in it, so I don't really care who wins. should be a good game though. and I figured I would use a jumbo pack of Topps 2012 Football cards to see who will win. I was going to get 2 and do some sort simulated football game based on the pulls, but they didn't have any more when I went to get a second pack on Friday, which lead to the sort of rant at the start of the post.
The rules are simple. Each card earns that team's conference (AFC or NFC) a point. Cards for the 49ers or Ravens earn them 2 points. Inserts will count only if a tie breaker is needed. Lets see who will win.
What a differance a half can make. Lead by Ray Lewis of the Ravens, the AFC pulls out the win with a final score of 18-16!

| Beanie Wells (Cardinals) | Damian Williams (Titans) |
| Charles Johnson (Panthers) | Kansas City Chiefs |
| NaVorro Bowman (49ers) | Johnathan Joseph (Texans) |
| Chris Clemons (Seahawks) | Houstan Texans |
| Micheal Turner (Falcons) | Tavon Wilson (Patriots) |
| Casey Hayward (Packers) | Derrick Johnson (Chiefs) |
| Brandon Boykin (Eagles) | |
| Russle Wilson (Seahawks) |
| Paramount Pairs----Marques Colston/Pierre Thomas |
| 1965 Topps Mini----Osi Umenyiora |
| Prolific Playmakers----Vincent Jackson |
At the halfway point, it's not looking good for the Ravens, Because the AFC is behind 8 points to 6. Let's check the rest of the pack.
| Chris Long (Rams) | Ray Lewis (Ravens) |
| Brandon Perrigre (Lions) | Nick Barnett (Bills) |
| DeSean Jackson (Eagles) | Paul Posluszny (Jaguars) |
| Sidney Rice (Seahawks) | Whitney Mercilus (Texans) |
| Arazona Cardinals | Moris Claiborne (Cowboys) |
| New York Giants | Dre Patrick (Bengles) |
| Alshon Jeffery (Bears) | Kelechi Osemele (Ravens) |
| Eric Berry (Chiefs) | |
| Jabaal Sheard (Browns) | |
| New York Jets |
| QB Immortals----Bart Star |
| Game Time Giveaway Card |
What a differance a half can make. Lead by Ray Lewis of the Ravens, the AFC pulls out the win with a final score of 18-16!
And they celebrated through out the entire AFC!
On a side note, like the design like the inserts for the most part. I like minis and retro cards, but not a big fan of the 1965 Minis. Maybe they will grow on me. Who knows. Also like the QB Immortals but there is a big problem. He was a great quarter back, but Bart Star was still a packer. Which leads to the biggest problem so far. Far too many packers, not enough Vikings (although Sidney Rice, a former Viking, showed up. That counts for partial credit.
UPDATE: Well, that worked well. Was a little worried for a bit there, but in the end, the Ravens got the win. Might have to try this again for the World Series.

Pack A Day #2--Something Different Edition #1
Today is National Pro Wrestling Day. There is also something going on with a weather predicting rodent out east, but that isn't nearly as important. To celebrate the greatest sport in the world, I have spent the day watching some of my favorite matches (CM Punk VS John Cena for the WWE Title at Money In The Bank 2011 is playing in the background as I type this) and I figured I would open some wrestling cards today.
So I picked up a Jumbo Pack of WWE Heritage 2012 cards. I was going to get WWE 2012, but they didn't have any. I already have a bunch of these, so I won't keep track of duplicates or anything unless it is a card I know I have. Once I finish sorting my original collection, I will get to the new cards and find out.
On to the cards!
Aksana
John Cena
Lilian Garcia
Sheanus
Batista
Akeem
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes
Jim Ross
Cactus Jack
Sin Cara
Kofi Kingston
CM Punk
Inserts
Ringside Action--Lariat
Ringside Action--Dream Street
Ringside Action--Wasteland
Superstars Speak--Sargent Slaughter
A pretty good pack. Some I know I have, like Punk and Cena. A few I think I have, like Batista and Sheamus. And a few I know I don't. For example, I know I don't have Cactus Jack. I have the other Mick Foley cards, but as far as I know, I don't have Cactus Jack. And of course, how can you go wrong with this card. featuring the son of a plumber, if you will.
And since I'm watching an amazing match featuring them, here are ones of Punk and Cena.

Pack A Day #1
I picked up a retail box of Topps 2013 Baseball cards today!!! YAY!!! And I thought I would do some sort of Pack A Day column on here. Using my massive imagination, I decided to call it...Pack A Day!! (bet you didn't see that coming, did you.)
I'm not promising to do this every single day, because I know how well I do with stuff like that some times plus some times I just won't be able to for various reasons. But I can at least try.
BTW, see that new box in the side bar? That is a running tally of all the cards I have gotten since I started collecting (it's actually since December 2012, but I'm counting it.) Once I have all my original cards sorted, I will figure out how many cards I have gotten since then and post a grand total thing too, but for now, this will do.
ON TO THE CARDS!!!
I decided to open 3 packs from the retail box today. Normally I will open 1 or 2, but I decided to celebrate the start of the column and getting my first 2013 retail box.
Pack 1
Jake Arrieta (Orioles)
Evan Longoria (Rays)
Avisail Garcia (Tigers) Rookie
Sean Marshall (Reds)
Darwin Barney (Cubs
Inserts
1972 Mini--Lou Gehrig
Blue Parallel
Jacoby Ellsbury (Red Sox)
Justin Upton (Diamondbacks)
Not a bad pack. I like the look of the cards, especially the Blue Parallels And I like that the first 1972 Mini I got was a legend like Lou Gehrig
Pack 2
Jason Heyward (Braves)
Daisuke Matsuzaka (Red Sox)
Edwin Encarnacion (Blue Jays)
Luke Hochevar (Royals)
Inserts
Chasing The Dream----Casey Kelly
Calling Card----Brandon Philips
Blue Parallels
Alex Gordon (Royals)
A.J. Burnett (Pirates)
Another nice pack. I like the look of the Chasing The Dream and Calling Card cards
Pack 3
Jason Kipnis (Indians)
Detroit Tigers--Game 4 2012 ALCS
Trevor Rosenthal (Cardinals) Rookie
Eric Chavez (Yankees)
Brian Fuentes (Cardinals)
Inserts
Chasing History----Hank Aaron
Blue Parallels
Rafael Furcal (Cardinals)
Brett Lawrie (Blue Jays)
Another good pack, and YAY!! Hank Arron!
Over all, a good start. No Twins though. But it is still early in the year, and I am sure I will get plenty of them
I wanted to post some pics of my favorite cards, but my scanner is being stupid right now and this is the only one that was up on Trading Card Database so far. I will post the other s later. If nothing else, I will post them when I get a duplicate.
