Pack A Day #43

Ok, I know no one has be wondering for the last 24 hours what the surprise I mentioned yesterday was.  That would imply someone actually reads this, and we all know that isn't true.  But here it is.

First, I picked up a box of Retail packs for Topps Baseball 2013.  They have them at Walmart for about $50 after taxes.  Figured I would give it a try.  Basically it is the same as buying 24 packs by them selves.  288 cards, or about 3 1/2 blasters for the price of 2 1/2 blasters.  Down side, no guaranteed relics or blue parallels.  Might get another one after this is done or I might go back to blasters.  haven't decided yet.  But I got a while to decide.

Second (and the actual surprise  is I am going to start opening 2 packs a day.  The second pack will be from various sets.  Right now it will be mostly WWE and Garbage Pail Kids, because I want to get the ones I have into binders since they are current sets I am collecting.  After that, it might be cards I got from Old Stock boxes and repacks, it might be 2012 Baseball cards (Have a bunch of Update Series cards) Might be CCGs.  Might even be current cards from sets like Topps Opening Day 2013 or Heritage 2013.  Who knows.  Usually won't have any sort of theme though unless I pick up a blaster of something.

Well that sucked.  6 of the 12 cards a duplicates.  It's actually 7, but Micheal Brantley is an Emerald Parallel, so it isn't actually a dupe since I have the base card.  Hopefully I have better luck with a WWE Heritage 2012 Jumbo Pack.

Damn it!  That was even worse! 5 out of 16 cards that weren't dupes!  In fact I had to check my binder to make sure I didn't just mark them off on the checklist but didn't put them in the binder.  Really hoping today's results (11 out of 28) isn't a sing of things to come.
